Neurophysiology (new-ro-fiss-e-ol-o-gy) is the study of the functioning of the nervous system. Clinical neurophysiological testing assists in assessing disease or, less commonly, in monitoring changes in nervous system function.
Such testing may evaluate the brain, spinal cord, sensory system (vision and hearing), the peripheral nerves (nerves in the face, arms and legs) and the muscles of the body. Instead of looking at still pictures of anatomy like X-rays do, neurophysiology evaluates the ongoing function of the nervous system.

Some of the neurophysiology services available at St. Francis include:

1.
Botulinum Toxin (Botox)
2. Electroencephalogram (EEG)
3. Electromyography (EMG)
4. Evoked Potentials (EP)
5. Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS)
