Expectations, a comprehensive maternity program sponsored by St. Francis Medical Center, is designed to provide you with everything possible to make the birth of your child a special event.

Our staff of talented nurses and physicians is supported by a full array of modern medical technology to ensure that you and your baby receive expert medical care. Yet, Expectations also includes a warm, homelike place where you and your family can be together. Our Labor/Delivery/Recovery rooms nurture a comfortable, private setting for your birthing experience. Expectations provides the following:

	Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Highest Level of Neonatal Care in the Area - Know the Difference)
	Perinatology Clinic
	Prenatal Classes
	Tours of the Labor/Delivery/Nursery Area are Available Upon Request by Calling 327-4188
	Experienced Labor and Delivery, OB & Nursery Staff
	Labor/Delivery/Recovery Rooms
	Breastfeeding Program and Support with Certified Lactation Consultant (offering breast pump rentals & sales)
	Rooming In Available
	Baby's First Portrait Package Available
	Diaper Bag
	Hearing Screening Test
	Internet Nursery
	Infant CPR Instruction
	Newborn Educational Videos Available for Viewing on Television in Hospital Room
	Shots for Tots Program is available at St. Francis Community Health Center every Wednesday evening from 3-7 pm. Call 966-4700 for more information
	WIC Clinic is available at the St. Francis Healthy Kids Clinic located at 850 South Second Street, Monroe. Call 966-6165 for more information.

Breastfeeding Program
In the event you are breastfeeding, we can provide you with breastfeeding support and assistance. In fact, St. Francis has a full-time internationally-certified lactation consultant on staff to help you with concerns you may have about breastfeeding.

Internet Nursery
Share the wonderful news of your child's birth with family and friends all around the world with St. Francis Medical Center's "Virtual Nursery." After your delivery at St. Francis, simply tell your nurse you'd like to take advantage of the Internet Nursery. Your baby's picture and vital statistics (last name's initial only for your privacy) will be available for viewing on the Internet at www.stfran.com.
