Botulinum Toxin Injections

Botox injections are used to treat various focal muscle spastic disorders and excessive muscle contractions such as dystonias, spasms, twitches, etc. Botulinum toxin produces local paralysis and allows individual muscles to be weakened selectively. This permits the individual to regain function of the muscles involved. Any involved muscle or muscle group can be treated.
No special preparations are necessary for this test. You may eat and go about your normal activities, unless you are told otherwise by your doctor. For more information contact kingc@stfran.com or call (318) 327-4868.
