Accreditations
Kitty DeGree Breast Health Center Ultrasound Department has been awarded a three year accreditation by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the departments. Evaluations are made by physicians and physicists who are experts in the field.
The Kitty DeGree Breast Health Center has passed and received a three year accreditation for its facility and its Hologic Selenia full field digital mammography units. ACR (American College of Radiology) is devoted to making imaging safe, effective and accessible to those who need it. ACR is one of four FDA-approved accrediting bodies and is the only on that accredits nationally. The FDA has designated the ACR as the accrediting body for full-field digital mammography units. The ACR lists each accredited facility on its website so that the list of facilities is available to patients and patient referral organizations.
We are the first in this region to receive ACR accreditation for our digital units. The Center is listed on the ACR and FDA websites:

The Kitty DeGree Breast Health Center is a member of the National Consortium of Breast Centers, Inc. - an organization of breast professionals, breast centers, providers of services to care providers and corporations that supply equipment and pharmaceuticals to care providers.
